Field Trips – Grade 1 – Ms Anderson and Ms Connolly
Ms Anderson and Ms Connolly will be attending the following week long field trips with Calgary Campus/Open Minds:
Ms Anderson – Stampede School
Ms Connolly – 2School – Urban Experience
We kindly remind you that the activity fee of $69.08 is now due. Please log in to your MyCBE account to arrange payment prior to Monday, April 13.
As the school pays for field trips in advance, timely reimbursement is essential to ensure we can continue offering these enriched learning experiences and future field trips for our students.
Please note that no child is ever denied the opportunity to participate due to financial circumstances. If payment is an issue at this time, please reach out to Mr Molyneux.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for your ongoing support of our school programs.
FirstClass Daycare Access & Building Security
To maintain building security and minimize foot traffic through student learning areas, families of children attending FirstClass Daycare are asked to use the dedicated daycare entrance at the rear of the building. Please utilize the daycare doorbell for entry rather than the school’s main front doors. As the daycare maintains its own independent attendance records and arrival protocols, using the designated back entrance ensures that students are greeted and accounted for directly by daycare staff.
K-6 Swimming Lessons
Your child will attend one of the below sessions:
- Session 1: May 4–7 OR
- Session 2: May 11–14
- Location: Canyon Meadows Aquatic and Fitness Centre
- Timing: Lessons occur during the regular school day. Students should arrive at school at their normal time. See schedule which was sent home
"To-Do" List
Please ensure the following three items are completed to allow your child to participate:
Task | Deadline | Action Required |
Return Permission Form and Swim Ability Form | April 20 | Sign and return the paper forms sent home with your child. |
Submit Payment | May 4 | Pay the $41.71 fee via your MyCBE account. |

- All volunteers must have a valid CBE volunteer police clearance with the school office to attend this event.
Woodbine TRC Commitment & April 24 Professional Development
In recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and in alignment with the CBE Education Plan, Woodbine School acknowledges and supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s (TRC) Calls to Action, and makes the following commitment to action for the 2025-2026 school year:
Spirit: To Be: we will continue to learn about and implement practices about Indigenous circle processes and incorporate talking circles as a way of facilitating discussions with and amongst students, staff and families.
On our April 24 professional day, staff will be revisiting this commitment and working on strengthening it.
