Volunteer Opportunities!
We would love to have parent volunteers for our Opera performances on April 29 and 30, both for daytime and evening. If you have a valid CBE volunteer police clearance and are able to help, please email Tanis Munro at tmmunro@cbe.ab.ca and let us know which day(s) and time(s) you’re available. Volunteers will be supporting students backstage throughout the show. Thank you so much for considering this.
Our “Let’s Create an Opera” project is really coming to life! To accommodate seating and ensure that all students can participate, we will be holding four performances—two daytime and two evening shows. There will be two casts, with each cast performing on different days. More information has been sent home with your child(ren), along with a form that should be returned to their homeroom teacher.
- Arrival & Pickup Times:
Please ensure your child arrives in the evening for their performance by 5:30 pm. If you are planning to attend the daytime performance, and therefore will not be at the evening performance, please note that pick-up will be at 7:00 pm. - Pickup Location:
Students will be dismissed from their regular classroom pickup/dismissal doors, not the gym. - After the Performance:
Families will exit through the gym doors, then make their way outside to their child’s usual classroom pickup location. - Staying for the Full Performance:
We kindly ask that all families remain for the entire performance. Even if your child has already performed, staying supports all students and helps maintain a respectful audience environment. - Student Supervision:
When not on stage, students will be supervised and waiting in their classrooms.
