School Council/Parent Association - #BecauseOfSchoolCouncil
Did you know? Many of the experiences and opportunities students enjoy at Woodbine are made possible through School Council/Parent Association. Through Casinos, volunteering, and family support, they facilitate meaningful experiences that benefit students across our school. Follow along with our #BecauseOfSchoolCouncil campaign on Instagram (@woodbinecbe) as we highlight just some of the ways their impact is felt.
#BecauseOfSchoolCouncil: School Council funded one bus for every class field trip this year, helping reduce costs for families

Lost and Found
Please come by and look at our Lost and Found items which are on display by the office. Items not picked up by students and families by the end of the day on May 29 will be donated.
Snacks
Our front office has seen a high volume of students asking for snacks lately. Please ensure you are packing enough food to last your child through the entire school day. This is particularly important on Fridays, due to our later dismissal time and lack of a lunch recess. Thank you for helping us keep our students fueled and ready to learn!
Temporary Soccer Field Closure & Remediation
Please be advised that the main rectangular soccer field will be temporarily out of action for approximately 2 to 3 weeks, beginning May 19.
During routine grass mowing, a contractor’s equipment experienced a hydraulic oil spill. To ensure the field remains a safe, high-quality playing surface for our students, the contractor is taking immediate action to remediate the affected soil and replace the turf.
We are working closely with the maintenance team to minimize disruption. Thank you for your patience while this work is being carried out.
Volunteer Police Clearance Processing for 2025-2026
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, please be advised that we are no longer initiating new police clearance applications in the month of June. This is due to the approval process typically taking several weeks - new applications would not be finalized before the school year concludes. We look forward to resuming the clearance process for new volunteers in the fall!
