🥚 Hatch Watch 2026: The Countdown is ON! 

Big news from Grade 1! Our eggs are making progress! You can watch the magic happen live from home. 

Whether it's "Pip Watch" for our ducks and geese or keeping a close eye on our quail, the anticipation is real. Streams go live today after 4:00 PM!

Scholastic Book Fair – Update! 

Thank you for making our school’s Scholastic Book Fair successful. 

As a result of your support, we sold $8,734 worth in books,with the rewards from our sales we will be able to purchase new titles for the library.  

We are always so excited to see children discover new books. All that book joy wouldn’t be possible without volunteers from our school community, you deserve our gratitude.  

We hope to see you and your child at our next fair - until then, happy reading!

Temporary Soccer Field Closure & Remediation 

Please be advised that the main rectangular soccer field will be temporarily out of action for approximately 2 to 3 weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 19. 

During routine grass mowing, a contractor’s equipment experienced a hydraulic oil spill. To ensure the field remains a safe, high-quality playing surface for our students, the contractor is taking immediate action to remediate the affected soil and replace the turf. 

We are working closely with the maintenance team to minimize disruption.  Thank you for your patience while this work is being carried out.

Volunteer Police Clearance Processing for 2025-2026 

As we approach the final weeks of the school year, please be advised that we are no longer initiating new police clearance applications in the month of June.   This is due to the approval process typically taking several weeks - new applications would not be finalized before the school year concludes. We look forward to resuming the clearance process for new volunteers in the fall! 

Registration Open for School Bus Orientation Program 

The CBE offers a school bus orientation program for first-time riders and their parents, called My 1st Ride. 

The session is free but families must register in advance. Spots are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for 2026-27 Yellow Bus Transportation  

Apply now for Yellow School bus service for 2026-27 school year:

Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.) 

Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus. 

Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE in August.   

Yearbook For Sale – Deadline June 19 

You can now purchase your yearbook through Lifetouch.  Follow the  Yearbook Link and enter in Woodbine’s code, 8893926. Yearbooks will be ready for pickup in the fall of the next school year.
