You’re Invited! Volunteer Tea – 22 May, 10 am – Learning Commons
We’d love to celebrate you! Please join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Tea to thank you for all your hard work this year in supporting our school.
We can’t wait to see you there – save the date.
Gr 4 field trip to SAM Centre and conflict with Fun Lunch Day – May 13
On Wednesday, May 13, the Grade 4 classes will be participating in their scheduled field trip to the SAM Centre at Stampede Park.
Please be advised that this date coincides with a Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch day. Because the students will be off-site for the duration of the day, please ensure you pack a lunch for your child to bring with them to the field trip.
We cannot accommodate the delivery of Fun Lunch orders to our field trip location. However, if you have already placed a Fun Lunch order for this day, please rest assured that it will be delivered to the school as scheduled. We will store these meals in the refrigerator and send them home with your child at the end of the school day.
Volunteers Needed: IHOP Fun Lunch – May 13!
Our next Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch is coming up on Wednesday, May 13 (iHOP).
These special lunch days are a highlight for our students, but they are only possible through the support of our parent volunteers. We currently have no one signed up to help with this event - we would love to see a few friendly faces help to distribute the lunches. All volunteers will need to have a valid CBE volunteer police clearance on file at the office.
The delivery arrives very well-organized; the role simply involves sorting the meals by classroom and delivering them to the students. If you have an hour or two to spare, we would truly appreciate your help.
The delivery usually arrives at 11:45 am. Our Grades 1-3 students eat lunch at 11:50-12:10 and our Grades 4-6 students eat lunch at 12:40-1:00.
Please either call the school office or email us at woodbine@cbe.ab.ca if you are able to lend a hand.
Thank you.
Volunteer Police Clearance Processing for 2025-2026
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, please be advised that we are no longer initiating new police clearance applications in the month of June. This is due to the approval process typically taking several weeks - new applications would not be finalized before the school year concludes. We look forward to resuming the clearance process for new volunteers in the fall!
