We are still seeking gently used books for our Used Book Sale!
Our amazing parent volunteers from School Council are collecting gently used books (story books, fact books, graphic novels, and board books) for our upcoming used book sale. Please send any used book donations to the school by end of day March 18. There are boxes setup in front of the office for any donations!
During Student-Led Conferences on March 19, families are invited to visit the library and fill a bag of books for $20. Please note that the sale is cash only, so remember to bring real money!
The Used Book Sale will be in the Learning Commons on Thursday evening. In the Gym families will be sharing and celebrating their culture at our Cultural Fair.
Lost and Found
Our Lunchroom Staff have reviewed the Lost and Found area and returned all labeled items to their respective owners. We kindly ask that you take a look at our Lost and Found area to check for any missing belongings before the upcoming deadline.
Donation Date: Any items remaining at the end of the day on March 20 will be donated.
Student Fees
As we head into a busy spring season, we are excited to share that our Grade 1 and 2 students will soon be participating in the Calgary Campus Open Minds field trips. These programs offer five days of innovative, hands-on learning at various sites across the city.
Please see the specific locations for each class below:
- Ms. Christensen: Zoo School
- Ms. Aspinall / Ms. Facca: Library School
- Ms. Connolly: 2School (An Urban Experience at the CBE Education Centre)
- Ms. Anderson: Stampede School
- Ms. Coppens: Science School
Fee Information
A fee of $69.08 has been applied to your MyCBE account to cover these week long experiences. As the school pays for these programs in advance, we kindly ask for your prompt payment to ensure we can continue offering these high-quality opportunities for our students.
Please continue to check your MyCBE account regularly, as it may be updated frequently as more spring trips are finalized.
Morning Entry and Late Arrivals
To help our students settle into their morning routines, we kindly ask that parents allow their children to enter the building and head to their classrooms independently.
If your child arrives after the entry bell, please ensure they check in at the office first. This is a critical safety step to ensure PowerSchool is updated and your child is accurately accounted for. To minimize disruptions to the instructional time already underway, we ask that parents say their goodbyes at the office or front doors.
Should you need to connect with your child’s teacher, please reach out via email to schedule a time. You can find all staff contact details here: https://woodbine.cbe.ab.ca/staff
