Staffing Updates  

Our beloved Facility Operator, Joash Ramoran has accepted a position at a school right by his house, McKenzie Towne School. Congratulations! Thank you for everything you have done for Woodbine.  You’ll be missed and we wish you all the best.   

We are happy to announce that we have hired 3 lunchroom positions.  A big welcome to Dijana Kupinic, Helen Van Schaik, and Andleeb Ali. 

Planning for the 2026-27 school year 

To assist us with our preliminary planning for the upcoming school year, "Intent to Return" forms have been sent home with all students. We kindly ask that families complete one form per student and return them to the school office.  Due date is January 23. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated as it helps us ensure the best possible preparation for the new school year.  

Student Illness 

To help keep our school community healthy, we kindly ask that students stay home if they are feeling unwell. Resting at home not only supports a faster recovery for your child but also prevents the spread of seasonal illnesses within the classroom. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Winter Safety Update 

As students enjoy the winter weather, please keep the following safety reminders in mind: 

• Spare Clothing: If your child enjoys playing in the snow, please ensure they have a spare pair of socks and pants in their backpack to stay dry and comfortable. 
• Ice Safety: School grounds are currently icy. While sliding is tempting, it poses a significant fall risk. Please review ice safety with your child and encourage them to avoid icy patches when possible. 
• The "Penguin Walk": When crossing ice is unavoidable, supervisors will remind students to "walk like a penguin" to maintain balance. 

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our outdoor playtime both fun and safe. 

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 school year 

Beginning January 12, 2026, registration opens for Kindergarten, as well as for new Grade 1-12 students, for the 2026-27 school year.  Children are eligible for Kindergarten in September 2026 if they turn five years old on or before December 31, 2026.

We welcome new and returning members of our community to attend our next meeting.  We are eagerly seeking volunteers and positions are still available for this school year.
