Principal Update:
A friendly reminder that our new principal, Ryan Molyneux, officially begins at Woodbine this Monday, January 12. Ryan is very much looking forward to meeting our students, staff, and families and spending time in classrooms during his first week. We’re excited to welcome him to the Woodbine community!
Access to Online Report Cards
Kindergarten to Grade 9 report cards will be available starting Feb. 24, 2026. Grades 10 to 12 report cards will be available starting Feb. 2, 2026.
After May 29, 2026 all Semester 1 reports cards will no longer be available for viewing, downloading and/or printing.
Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For the best access to information, log in through the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.

Morning Entry Reminder

What: Welcome Future Longhorns
On January 22, 2026, from 4:30 pm - 6:15 pm we will be welcoming upcoming grade 6 students and families to come and visit our school and learn about our school’s arts, athletics and academic programs. It will also provide an opportunity to connect with our administration, teachers and student services to discover what Longhorn culture is all about.
· Arts - Showcase some of the amazing opportunities your child will have at John Ware School, through option programs and extra-curricular clubs and activities.
· Academics – Come and meet some of our dynamic teachers who work hard to create engaging quality learning experiences for all students.
· Athletics – Showcase a variety of sports teams and development opportunities your child can be a part of.
· Student Supports – check out the Wellness Lodge and other spaces to support student wellbeing.

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 school year
Beginning January 12, 2026, registration opens for Kindergarten, as well as for new Grade 1-12 students, for the 2026-27 school year. Children are eligible for Kindergarten in September 2026 if they turn five years old on or before December 31, 2026.

Volunteer Call: Fun Lunch Program Needs Your Help!
Our Fun Lunch program is a favorite event for the students, but we are in urgent need of volunteers to help distribute the lunches for future fun lunch dates. Thank you to the families who signed up for January 14 – we have enough volunteers to support that date.
If you are available to spare some time on Fun Lunch days, your help would be immensely appreciated in keeping this popular program running! Please sign up via your Healthy Hunger account.
Important reminder - the cut off date to place an order is always 5 days prior to the fun lunch event (11:59 pm). To place your order for our next fun lunch on Jan 14 - please go to www.healthyhunger.ca to place your order. All orders for Wednesday, January 14, must be in before midnight on Friday, January 9.
