Food Drive

As part of Woodbine’s Wellness Curriculum to be kind to others, we are having a Reverse Advent Calendar Food Drive. Instead of getting a gift each day like a typical advent calendar we are giving a gift of food each day to support the Calgary Food Bank. Please click HERE for  suggested donation items. You are welcome to donate any non-perishable items, however please no glass jars.

We will be competing in Den Groups to see which Den is able to bring the most items. The winning Den will win a popcorn movie afternoon in the new year.

Thank you for your support in teaching the importance of giving and helping others.

Winter Spirit Days!

Mark your calendars! Let's bring some cozy fun to school as we celebrate our Winter Spirit Days! Participation is optional.

Wed, Dec 17 – Crazy Crocs and Socks – Wear your festive footwear!

Fri, Dec 19 – Wear your PJs and get cozy!

Festive Challenge – Grade 6 Leadership

Get ready for a festive challenge!  Students can take part in our “Guess How Many Candy Canes are in the Jar” contest. For just $1 per guess, students can try to figure out how many candy canes are packed inside the jar.  All the money raised will go towards helping our school.  Here’s the best part – whoever’s guess is the closest will win a very large, beautiful, assembled, light up gingerbread house!  To enter bring a dollar, write down your guess!  The draw will take place end of day Monday!  Good luck everyone and may the best candy-cane counter win.

Bracelet Sales in support of Children’s Hospital

We are thrilled to share the results of our students' recent charitable initiative! Our enthusiastic students (Hannah, Paige, Sadie, Achan, Frankie, Briar and Paisley) organized a bracelet-making and selling campaign to benefit the Alberta Children's Hospital.

Through their creativity and dedication, the students successfully raised a total of $206.50. We are incredibly proud of their community spirit and commitment to making a positive difference.

Blue Days & Dressing for the Weather

What is a blue day?  A blue day is when the temperature is -20°C (including wind chill) and below.  When it’s a “blue day” students can enter at any door from 8:50 am (when supervision begins).  Students will remain inside on blue days.

Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather (jacket, snowpants, hats and mitts).
