Hats on for Mental Health Day – May 7
Students are invited to wear a hat to school on Wednesday, May 7 as we join together to raise awareness about mental health and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Let’s tip our hats to kindness, compassion, and open conversations—because mental health matters!
Save the Date – Volunteer Tea
We are pleased to invite you to our Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Friday, May 23, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM to say thank you for your invaluable contribution to our school community.
This is a chance for us to personally thank all of our families who have volunteered their time, energy, and heart to our school community. To show our appreciation, we invite all parent and community volunteers to join us for a special Volunteer Tea as a small thank you for the big difference you make. Please come and enjoy some light refreshments and snacks, good company, and heartfelt gratitude from our staff and students. We look forward to celebrating you.
Please RSVP here by May 15, so we can plan accordingly.
School Update:
We are excited to share that our school will be welcoming a new specialized classroom in the fall—our first CSSI (Communication, Sensory, Social Skills and Integration) classroom. This program is designed to support students with complex and unique learning needs. While the CSSI class will be hosted at our school, it is not a school-based initiative, but rather a placement supported and coordinated through CBE’s Inclusive Education team to support students across south Calgary. We are thrilled to enhance our inclusive learning environment with this addition.
Woodbine Parent Association/School Council Update:
