Staffing Updates:
As the school year approaches the final stretch we would like to share the following staffing updates with you.
We would like to congratulate Jennifer Fournier who has accepted a Learning Leader position at Piitoayis Family School with the CBE.
Additionally, we would like to congratulate Claire Bignell who has accepted a Learning Leader position at Jennie Elliot School.
Woodbine currently has two teaching positions open that are at the shortlisting and interviewing stage.
Woodbine currently has 3 Lunch Supervisor positions that are at the shortlisting and interviewing stage.
Upcoming School Spirit Days:
Posters are displayed around the school with more details and reminders about these fun-filled days. Everyone is welcome to participate and show their school spirit, but please remember that participation is completely optional.
Anything but a Backpack – Fri June 20 – Bring or wear anything but a backpack!
Crocs and Socks Day – Thur June 26 – Wear crazy socks and crocs or sandals!
2025-2026 Transportation Registration Now Open:
The 2025-2026 Transportation registration is now open. To register, sign into your MyCBE account – Student Fees – scroll down to Transportation – Complete registration form. Please note, registrations received during the summer will result in a 6-week delay and parents will be responsible for their child's transportation to and from school.
Eligibility: If you live outside of the walk zone, your child will be eligible for yellow school bus transportation. If you live inside the walk zone, your child is not eligible for transportation.
To find the Woodbine School map, visit CBE’s Find a School Tool and follow these instructions:
Type in your home address or search by school in the drop-down menu.
Choose your program under Program Options.
Click on the grade(s).
Below the map, in the “Programs” column, click on the grade/program for your school.
This will display the walk zone for your desired school/program.
My Transit Ride 2025-26
Each year, CBE collaborates with CCSD and Calgary Transit to provide a free orientation program that provides an opportunity for new and first-time transit riders to increase their comfort level and ability to ride Calgary Transit safely and efficiently to and from school. The orientation includes different stations for families to visit to learn more about route planning, fares, how to ride the bus or C-Train, safety features, rider etiquette and much more. Sessions run every half-hour and last approx 1 hour.
Session Dates and Times
· Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 5 – 8 p.m.
· Saturday, Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
· Calgary Transit and CBE Trasnportation staff will be available to answer questions at these sessions.

For students leaving us to move to Grade 7 at their respective junior high schools the following Calgary Transit information may be of benefit:
Lost and Found Donation on June 24
Our lost and found collection will be packed and donated on Monday, June 24.
We kindly request that you have your child check the lost and found items thoroughly before this date. Any items clearly labeled with a student's name will be returned to them before being packed and donated.
Report Cards Available June 25
Families will be able to view online student report cards for all K-12 students through MyCBE starting on June 25, 2025. Report Cards for the 2024-25 school year can only be viewed, downloaded, or printed until July 25, 2025.
Outstanding Fees – Deadline June 30, 2025
Just a friendly reminder to pay your central and school-based fees before June 30, 2025.

Please go to www.healthyhunger.ca All orders for the above must be placed 5 days prior to the event. Once the order is closed no changes or cancellations can be accepted. Please remember that no food should be ordered from Skip the Dishes Door Dash etc, or any other restaurant on that day, for distribution to our students – let’s make this event special by enjoying the food available from Healthy Hunger and place your order before the deadline.
