Skating and Thank You!

Thank you to all the volunteers who made skating possible. It takes a whole village to make these off site opportunities happen and we know it takes coordination and time from all the volunteers. We appreciate all the donated items, time gifted, and support.

Federal Election

Our school is designated as a voting site for the upcoming election on Monday, April 28.  As a result, we anticipate increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and around the school premises on election day. We kindly request that all families exercise extra caution, allow for additional time for parking, and be mindful of the increased activity to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair was a success! Thank you to all volunteers, families, teachers, and students who participated, supporting our school while enhancing home libraries. The book fair total was $8719.75, our school library will receive 50% of this profit.

Your investment in your reader helped our school to earn valuable Rewards that will be redeemed for new books for our school library, as well as supplies and Education Resources to benefit our students.

We can’t wait to hear all about the new stories you have added to your home libraries!

Thank you for participating in our Scholastic Book Fair!

Gr 6 - Outdoor School

If your child is attending Outdoor School at Kamp Kiwanis in June, please note that the deposit of $100 is due on April 30.  This is a firm deadline.   As this field trip is not mandatory, please submit the deposit only if you wish your child to participate.

Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our school, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

1.    If you as a parent or guardian witness any unsafe stopping or parking actions, you are encouraged to call Calgary Parking Authority at 403-537-7100 to report your parking complaint.  They also appreciate knowledge of licence plate numbers when making your phone call.

2.    If you as a parent or guardian witness any unsafe driving behaviour, you are encouraged to call Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.  Knowledge or evidence of licence plates is very helpful as well.

3.    For any traffic concerns please use the following link to the City of Calgary Community Traffic Concerns Department.  http://www.calgary.ca/Transpor...  This department identifies processes for responding to traffic issues so that communities with the most severe traffic issues will be dealt with on a priority basis.  Community traffic studies aim to reduce the negative impacts of traffic in neighbourhoods.
