School Update:
Have you completed the 2023-2024 forms in SchoolEngage: It is very important we have current demographics, citizenship, and annual authorizations for your child. If you have not updated your information, please do so as soon as possible. If you require support, please contact Alison Brown at the School Office (403) 777-8630.
Fieldtrip Fees & Absences: A reminder to families that fieldtrip fees will be added to MyCBE accounts throughout the year, as and when a field trip is arranged. Please check your MyCBE account regularly. We have many overdue fees awaiting payment. The school pays the costs of fieldtrips in advance for all students to attend. If your child is absent on the day of the event, and you have returned a consent form, the fee will not be removed from your account.
Field Trip – Outstanding Fees: The following field trips have either taken place or are planned to happen soon. Please can you take a moment to pay via your MyCBE account:
Grade 1 – Oct 11
Leighton Art Centre - $27.75
Grade 4 – Oct 17
Telus Spark - $20.00
Grade 3 – Nov 2
Fish Creek Park - $6.00
Grade 5 & 6 – Nov 29/30
Youthlink Police Interpretive Centre - $6.00
No Stopping or Parking in the Bus Zone: Please do not park or drop off in the Bus Zone. The bus driver often finds it very difficult to park their bus when parents are dropping off students in the Bus Zone. We receive numerous complaints regarding parking and dropping off in this zone. In addition, please do not pull a U-turn in the school zone as it creates a dangerous situation for our small students. Please avoid at all costs, there is lots of safe spots to park within walking distance of our school.
Lost and Found: Our Lost and Found area is enormous! All items will be donated on November 17. Please ask your child to take a look if they are missing any items. All items with student names inside will be sent back to their classrooms prior to clothing being donated. There are lots of hoodies and winter jackets!
Dress for the weather: The weather is changing and students need to bring warm winter clothing to wear – we will be going outside for recess and 20 minutes at lunch – rain, snow or shine! We have many students looking for spare gloves, mitts and jackets which we supply on a daily basis – however we do not have an endless supply. Thank for ensuring your child is prepared.
Remembrance Day Assembly: Our Remembrance Day Assembly will be Wednesday, November 8 at 10:15 am. All classes will be attending the assembly and family members are welcome as we celebrate peace and honour those who sacrificed their lives for us.
