School Update:
Yearbook Cover Contest – Calling All Woodbine Artists!: Woodbine School is excited to announce our Annual Yearbook Cover Contest! This is your chance to showcase your creativity and have your artwork featured on the cover of the 2024-2025 Woodbine School Yearbook!
Contest Dates: February 3-12, 2025
Requirements:
- Your design must include “Woodbine School” and “2024-2025” in the title.
- Your artwork should represent our school community in a creative and meaningful way.
- Submit your original design on an 8.5” x 11” page.
How to Enter:
- Write your name and grade clearly on the back of your submission.
- Drop off your entry to Mrs. Fraser in the office by February 12, 2025.
We can’t wait to see the amazing designs from our talented students! The winning cover will be featured on this year’s yearbook, and the artist will receive special recognition.

Student Lunches and Food Deliveries: We kindly remind families to ensure that students bring a packed lunch each day or have meals pre-ordered through Healthy Hunger when available. Lately, we have noticed an increased demand for extra food at the office and ask that you pack more snacks for your student. This is possibly due to students experiencing growth spurts.
Additionally, please note that food delivery services such as Skip the Dishes, DoorDash, and Uber Eats are not permitted at Woodbine School. Our office is not equipped to manage these deliveries, and we cannot take responsibility for lost or misdirected orders. Any deliveries made to the school will be returned to the restaurant.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth and organized lunch process for all students.
2025-26 School Year: Planning for the 2025-26 school year is underway – please let us know if your child is returning to us for September 2025 or, if not, which school they will be attending in September. Forms have been sent home and are due back to the School Office by Feb 12. Thank you.
Outstanding Fees: Thank you to families for the payment of outstanding fees from activities your child participated in during the last 2023-2024 and 2025 school year so far. The amounts paid are helpful in keeping us financially healthy as a school. We request your attention to please check if there are any fees owing on your MyCBE account and make payment as soon as possible.
Lost and Found: Please come and check the lost and found area. Items left over will be donated on Feb 12.
Registration 2025-26: registration for the 2025-26 school year opened on Monday, January 13.
Parents can find information on Kindergarten registration on the public CBE website.
If you are returning to Woodbine School in the fall you do not need to register again. If your Grade 6 student is moving to John Ware School in the fall they will automatically be designed to that school for Grade 7.
Bake Sale Update: Our Cultural Night Bake Sale raised the grand total of $359.60. This will be going towards playground fundraising monies. Thank you to everyone who helped bake and to our students for selling the delicious treats on the night.

School Council/Association: Our next school council/association meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 pm. We look forward to you joining us. Teaching staff attend these meetings and provide an update on what is happening in their grade.

Remember to place your orders 5 days before the lunch event. Once the order is closed no changes or cancellations can be accepted. Please remember that no food should be ordered from Skip the Dishes Door Dash etc, or any other restaurant on that day, for distribution to our students – let’s make this event special by enjoying the food available from Healthy Hunger and place your order before the deadline.
