Principal Update:
We will be welcoming retired principal, Mr. Jeff Hutton as our Acting Principal until the end of the year. He comes with a wealth of experience in leadership and within the CBE. He is looking forward to joining us officially on March 6.
Strike Action: CBE received 72-hour strike notice from CUPE Local 40 on February 19. This means CUPE Local 40 will withdraw its services effective Monday, February 24. School Planning Survey: At Woodbine School, we hold the firm belief that families are pivotal to the academic success of children. We are asking that you participate in a short survey that opens February 18, 2025 - 03:00 PM and closes on March 28, 2025 - 11:59 PM. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from families on school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees. When students, staff and families work closely together, students experience greater success.

Gr 5 Celebration of Learning: Due to the operational impacts of the strike, we have to cancel the evening performance of the Grade 5 Learning Celebration (the 6:00pm time). However, the 1:30 pm performance will proceed as planned. Families planning to attend will receive an RSVP request from the teacher to help us manage attendance.

Help Organize Our School’s Resource Storage Rooms!:
We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with organizing and cataloging materials in our subject resource storage rooms, including the science storage room. Volunteers will help sort materials, label items, and create an inventory list to ensure teachers and students have easy access to the resources they need. Your support will make a big impact on keeping our classrooms running smoothly!
