School Update:
School Registration: Kindergarten registration opens January 15, 2024 for the 2024-2025 School Year. Please visit the CBE registration website and follow the process.
New | The Expression of Interest form (for CBE students currently enrolled in Kindergarten to Grade 8) is now digital and will be accessed via SchoolEngage. Parents / Legal Guardians will complete this form online for students who wish to apply for an alternative program.
Children’s Hospital Donations: We extend our heartfelt congratulations to a commendable group of Grade 3 students who, in the month of December, demonstrated their philanthropic spirit by engaging in the sale of bracelets, necklaces, pet toys, and bookmarks. Their collective efforts raised an impressive fundraising total exceeding $300, all of which has been generously donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Furthermore, we extend our sincere congratulations to the Grade 5/6 students who orchestrated a highly successful bake sale, resulting in a noteworthy contribution of $1,171.60 towards the support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Their dedication to this charitable endeavor is truly commendable.
The exemplary stewardship and kindness exhibited by both the Grade 3 students and the Grade 5/6 students reflect not only their commitment to making a positive impact within our community but also their understanding of the importance of supporting vital institutions such as the Alberta Children’s Hospital. We take immense pride in their accomplishments and extend our gratitude for their selfless contributions.
Pick up/drop off: Our days are dark and winter has arrived! The cold weather, snow and slippery road conditions make for a safety issue on the roads around our school.
Take extra time to get to school:
- Use the crosswalks
- Do not drop off/pick up in staff parking lot
- Obey traffic rules - no U turns, follow posted speed limits, no parking in bus zone
- Unload children on sidewalk, not in middle of road in front of the school
Fees: We encourage you take a look at your MyCBE account for outstanding fees. These are located under the student fees & service registration tab. Field trip fees are added as and when a field trip occurs, however in the same spot you will find your Lunch Supervision and Transportation fees.
Fun Lunches: Fun lunches are coming back! Our fun lunches gives our students an opportunity to eat lunch, socialize with their friends at school and take part in fundraising for our new playground. Fun lunches are organized and run by our Parent Council volunteers.
This year’s fun lunches will be provided through Healthy Hunger. To register, go to www.HealthyHunger.ca and click “Register Student”. After your account is created, you will be able to view all up-coming Fun Lunches, place orders, and pay for your orders online using Visa, MasterCard, or Interac Debit.
