School Update:
Learning Celebrations: We're thrilled to have successfully wrapped up our Spring Performance! A big thank you goes out to all the dedicated students and teachers who delved into the world of Hip Hop, mastering the moves and dancing their hearts out for the parents. Congratulations are also in order for the students who showcased their scientific prowess at Woodbine's Science Fair. Best of luck to those headed to the city finals – we're rooting for you! As we approach the start of Ramadan on March 11, we want to extend our support to any students observing this holy month. Additionally, don't forget about our upcoming School Spirit Days – "Twinning Tuesday" on March 12 where you can choose a friend and a theme to express together, and "Catch a Leprechaun Friday" on March 15 where wearing green is an option. Let's keep the spirit of fun and camaraderie alive at Woodbine!
Are your children attending our school in September: Planning is well underway for the next school year and accurate enrolment data helps us to plan and staff our school effectively. We appreciate you letting us know if your child will NOT be attending Woodbine School as soon as possible (woodbine@cbe.ab.ca).
Our Grade 6 students will be automatically enrolled for Grade 7 with John Ware School (unless you have previously confirmed they will be attending an alternative school).
2023 Child Tax Receipts now available: 2023 Tax Receipts are now available in your MyCBE account. These can be found by going to the menu (top right) and select “Tax Receipts”.
School Spirit Days: Our Grade 6 Student Council would like to share two upcoming Spirit Days which students can participate in:
- Save the dates: March 12 – Twinning Tuesday: Choose a friend and a theme that you wish to express together. For example, neon pink theme (both dress in neon colour of choice), dress up as your favorite book character (both dress as teamed pair, for example, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley), favorite sporting gear (both be soccer players) or be twins on this day (dress the same).
- March 15 - Catch a Leprechaun Friday: (in celebration of St Patrick’s Day on Sunday March 17). We shall call this "Catch a Leprechaun Friday" where students have the option to wear green on this day.
