School Update:

School Planning Survey: At Woodbine School, we hold the firm belief that families are pivotal to the academic success of children. We are asking that you participate in a short survey that opens February 17 at 8:00 am and closes March 9, 2024. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from families on school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees. When students, staff and families work closely together, students experience greater success.

Skate Program: Letters have been sent home about our exciting opportunity for our Grades 1-6 students to participate in ice skating sessions at Cardel Rec South Recreation Centre – March 13, 14, 20, 21. The fee of $23.73 has been added to parent MyCBE account – please take a moment to pay the fee prior to March 13.

2023 Tax Receipts: Parents/Guardians are able to download their own tax receipts online through their MyCBE account.  Once logged in, from the left navigation menu, select Student Fees and Services Registration.  Under the Menu you can view and download receipts and view and print statements.

New Volunteer Process started February 9: Parents and guardians are now able to register to volunteer online in the SchoolEngage tab in your MyCBE account. Members of the community without a child in the system can also create a SchoolEngage account. Once volunteers have created an account they can request and receive their volunteer letter and upload two pieces of government ID. Volunteers then must visit the CPS online system, to obtain their police check using the CBE volunteer letter which school provides. Once volunteers have their clearance letter, it can be uploaded and shared directly with the school through the SchoolEngage tab in your MyCBE account. Schools and volunteers can see the application status and if more information is required by the school to complete the process to volunteer.

Are your children attending our school in September: Planning is well underway for the next school year and accurate enrolment data helps us to plan and staff our school effectively.   We appreciate you letting us know if your child will NOT be attending Woodbine School as soon as possible (woodbine@cbe.ab.ca).

Our Grade 6 students will be automatically enrolled for Grade 7 with John Ware School (unless you have previously confirmed they will be attending an alternative school).
