School Update:

Learning Celebrations: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in showing support for our dedicated staff during Staff Appreciation Week. Your efforts have truly made a difference and reinforced the sense of community within our school. Meanwhile, our students have been enthusiastically engaging in a diverse range of activities. From mastering the art of badminton to exploring their creative side through paper mache, they're embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. Additionally, they've been sharpening their observation skills by identifying 2D and 3D shapes in the natural world, fostering a deeper connection with their surroundings. On the sports front, excitement is in the air as students immerse themselves in tracking and graphing the stats and following the action during the NHL 2024 Hockey Playoffs. And as always, they're honing their descriptive writing skills, painting vivid pictures with words and expressing their thoughts with eloquence. With such enthusiasm and dedication, our students continue to inspire us every day.

Staffing: Ms. Kazi-Tani will be away for a few weeks due to a family emergency. While she is dearly missed, we understand the importance of family matters and extend our thoughts and support to her during this time. Rest assured, our school is dedicated to ensuring continuity in education, and our team is working diligently to maintain the quality of learning experiences for all our students. We eagerly await Ms. Kazi-Tani's return and look forward to welcoming her back with open arms.

Book Fair:  We are sending our sincere gratitude for making our Book Fair an outstanding success! Thanks to your contributions, we sold $8898.45 worth of books at our Fair. We raised $4201.75 for our school, which we’ll use to purchase more books for the library collection.

Our reward for hosting a Book Fair is watching your kids discover new books. All that joy wouldn’t be possible without volunteers from our school community – you deserve our special thanks. We hope to see you and your child at our next Fair. Until then, happy reading!

Fees:  we encourage all parents and guardians to review your MyCBE account for outstanding fees. These are located under the Student Fees & Service Registration tab and include field trips, lunchroom, transportation and student supplies fee.  Please check regularly as field trips are added as and when the event takes place.

Woodbine Parent Association Update:

Pub Night and Silent Auction: Pub Night and Silent Auction Woodbine School's playground, which sees countless hours of use by the community, needs your help. Years of active play have taken their toll, and we're aiming to replace the equipment with new, safe structures and a modernized rubber ground surface. We, the Woodbine School Parent's Association are passionate about creating a stimulating environment for our children and community.

To help achieve our fundraising goals, we are pleased to be hosting our First Annual Pub Night on May 25, 2024 at The Point Public House.

Come on out and support the Parent Association while enjoying some great food and a chance to mingle with other parents and community members. All proceeds will go towards our initiatives including the new playground. Please see the attached flyer for all the details.

Tickets are limited – click HERE to purchase!

In conjunction with the Pub Night, we will also be hosting a silent auction. We are currently seeking donations to help ensure a successful auction. If you are able to make a donation personally or through a business, please reach out to Christine and Janey at woodbinepa@gmail.com. Attached is a current list of donors who have already contributed.

We look forward to seeing you on May 25! Thank you for your support!
