School Update:

Learning Celebrations: We are excited to share the diverse and engaging learning experiences happening within our classrooms. In Kindergarten, students are delving into the world of penguins while mastering the art of using instruments alongside reciting the poem "Good Night, Good Night". Grade 1 students are honing their descriptive writing skills through exploring the concept of a "mystery person". Meanwhile, Grades 2 and 3 are broadening their horizons by comparing life in various parts of the world to that in Canada. Grade 4 students are critically examining human activity's impact on waste production and brainstorming sustainable solutions. Over in Grade 5, chemistry lessons have taken a magical turn as students concoct Harry Potter potions. Lastly, Grade 6 students are gearing up to explore the fascinating realm of flight. We are immensely proud of our students' curiosity, creativity, and dedication to their learning journey.

Woodbine Parent Association Update:

Spring Dance:  Who's ready for the warm days of summer? Save the date for our Beach Bash on April 26, 2024.  Details, tickets and volunteer opportunities will be available next week.

Playground Pub Night and Silent Auction:  Woodbine School's playground sees countless hours of use by the community, needs your help. Years of active play have taken their toll, and we're aiming to replace the equipment with new, safe structures and a modernized rubber ground surface. We, the Woodbine School Parent's Association are passionate about creating a stimulating environment for our children and community. To help achieve our fundraising goals, we are pleased to be hosting our First Annual Pub Night on May 25, 2024 at The Point Public House.

Come on out and support the Parent Association while enjoying some great food and a chance to mingle with other parents and community members. All proceeds will go towards our initiatives including the new playground. Please see the attached flyer for all the details.

Tickets are limited - flyers will be sent home next week or check out the information posted on the school entry/exit doors today!  Information will also be posted on:   https://woodbineparents.com
