New Principal Announcement:
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Erik Sprong has been selected as Principal at Woodbine School. Principal Sprong will be appointed into the principal role starting in August 2025. Principal Sprong brings a breadth and depth of experience in teaching and leadership across the Calgary Board of Education.
We would like to thank all the parents/guardians and staff that completed the “New Principal Feed-back Survey,” and the results will be shared with Principal Sprong as he implements his entry plan.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Acting Principal Hutton for his leadership at Woodbine School and supporting the transition of leadership teams.
Volunteer Tea
This is a chance for us to personally thank all our families who have volunteered their time, energy, and heart to our school community. To show our appreciation, we invite all parent and community volunteers to join us for a special Volunteer Tea as a small thank you for the big difference you make. Please come and enjoy some light refreshments and snacks, good company, and heartfelt gratitude from our staff and students. We look forward to celebrating you.
We are pleased to invite you to our Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Friday, May 23, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM to say thank you for your invaluable contribution to our school community.
Please RSVP here, so we can plan accordingly.
Gr 6 – Farewell Assembly – Save the Date!
Our Grade 6 Farewell Assembly will be held on June 25, 1:30-2:30 pm. Siblings in other grades are welcome to attend the assembly with their family. After the assembly (2:30-3:00 pm), our grade 6 families have been invited to stay and mingle (with their Grade 6 student), take photos and enjoy a variety of treats together. Please call in to the office to sign out your student if you plan on leaving prior to the dismissal bell at 3:40 pm.
The students voted on this year's theme being "Chess" (black and white attire), your student is more than welcome to participate in the black and white theme too!
Please feel free to connect with Ms Kazi-Tani (ffkazitani@cbe.ab.ca) should you have any questions at all!
