School Update:
School Planning Survey: At Woodbine School, we hold the firm belief that families are pivotal to the academic success of children. We are asking that you participate in a short survey that opens February 17 at 8:00am and closes March 9, 2024. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from families on school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees. When students, staff and families work closely together, students experience greater success.

Attending Woodbine School in September 2024::If your child will not be attending Woodbine School in September 2024, please email the office staff at woodbine@cbe.ab.ca as soon as possible. We will soon be designating students who are leaving us to their new schools. In addition, an accurate projection of student numbers allows us to plan for the new school year. We appreciate your co-operation in letting us know in advance.
School Website Launch: Our school website is getting a new look! Until we go live with our new website, content has not been updated until our new website launches on February 15.
Fun Lunch – Feb 28 – McDonalds: A quick reminder that orders close February 23. After this date you cannot make any changes or place new orders. If you wish to place an order, please do so prior to this date so you don't miss out!
Coming Up - Picture Day: Lifetouch will be in school on February 29 – individual student photos and class group photos will be taken and proofs will be sent home 3-4 weeks after picture day. All orders must be placed online – no orders will be processed at school with cash/cheques.
Recorders – Gr 3 & 4: For our Grade 3/Grade 4 students who are wishing to purchase a recorder – the fee is now live on parent MyCBE accounts. The fee will be visible under “School Based Optional Fees” section – should you choose to purchase, please add the cost to your cart and proceed.
Outdoor School – Grade 6: There will be a parent/guardian meeting on April 25, 6:30 pm – please add to your calendar to hear important information about Outdoor School (June 3-5, 2024). This is a mandatory meeting if you plan on having your child attend this three day, two night trip.
Lost and Found: Our Lost and Found is overflowing – classes have been taking a look through the items and gathering what belongs to them. All labelled items will be returned to their owners but anything left over on Friday Feb 23 will be donated.
Volunteer Process: Starting on Friday, Feb. 9, parents and guardians can register to volunteer online in the SchoolEngage tab of your MyCBE account. Members of the community without a child in the system can also create a SchoolEngage account.
Once volunteers have created an account you can request and receive your volunteer letter required to obtain their police security clearance. There are no changes, at this time, to the ePIC application and payment process, currently managed by Calgary Police Service.
Once you obtain your police information check and vulnerable sector clearance document (from Calgary Police Service), this can be uploaded and shared directly with us through your SchoolEngage account.
